What does ancillary mean?

Ancillary can be defined as supplemental or additional. In this case it is supplemental information related to the wedding that may not have been addressed on the other pages within this site.

Why not just call it a faq?

Although it is essentially a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) I felt that ancillary better described what will be on this page, or at least what I anticipate. Not to mention the fact that I am often a little prone to obfuscation

How big is the wedding?

The KLM Lodge will only handle about 100 people so it will be a relatively small wedding

I didn't get an invite and really want to come!

Since the place only will handle about 100 people we have to make some hard choices and not invite some friends or family that we would really like to have with us.
Unofficially I will tell you that we plan on having the ceremony outside starting at 5:30PM and that we plan on starting up the after dinner stuff at around 7:00PM and since the property is owned by the park district we can't keep you away......

What time does everything start?

The doors open at 5:00 PM with the ceremony to start at 5:30. Shortly after that there will be a brief cocktail hour and then a meal followed by entertainment provided by a DJ.

How do I get to the wedding?

The address and a link to a map can be found on the location page, and driving directions can be found on the lodging page.

How long is the wedding?

The actual ceremony will be relatively short. Neither of us want to be tied into some long dogmatic show, and we plan to keep it simple

When does the reception end?

We have the lodge until 11:00 PM

Are my children welcome at the wedding or reception

Unequivocally yes. Of course! As long as you don't try to give them to us as wedding gifts

What are you two doing for your honeymoon

We are taking a cruise. You can get more of the details on the location page. Eventuality you will see a honeymoon page, but that won't be until after we get back.
